Nothing gets us primed for summer quite like the Spring Cottage Life Show. Much like the season, the spring show brings cottagers to life and the excitement has everybody buzzing. Exhibitors stuff the halls of the International Centre in Mississauga with endless cottage accessories, toys, additions and charms for your viewing (or purchasing) pleasure. There’s so much going on at times it can be a little challenging to navigate, so we threw a little list together that’ll help make sure you don’t miss any of the main attractions. Here are 6 things to check out at the spring cottage life show.

3. The Model Cottage: Step inside and take a tour! Bonneville Homes will be unveiling their exclusive new design at the Spring show this year. A contemporary blend of simplicity and efficiency, this 1008 sq ft home has a smaller footprint while still maintaining an impressive range of amenities, including a rooftop patio! The Micro-Natur is the answer to consumers’ ever-evolving needs by merging the two most popular series, Micro-Loft and Natur ones, and is capitalizing on the best attributes of both. At 1,008 square feet (16’/27’ x 20’/50’), Micro-Natur is the most spacious home in the Micro-Loft series. Its single-storey design, which can be adapted to suit individual needs, has two bedrooms (extendible to three), a full bathroom with laundry facilities and an immense living area for the ultimate in comfort and convenience. And the benefits of the outdoor sports equipment storage and rooftop deck cannot be overstated!
4. The Cottage Kitchen brings tasty outdoor entertaining ideas with daily cooking demonstrations and free samples. Cottage Life resident cook Tony Armstrong is back this year to whip up delicious appetizers and homemade bagels. Chef Jo Lusted, host of the TV series Compete to Eat, will show attendees how to give a healthy spin on comfort food and Claire Tansey, a prolific Toronto cooking instructor and radio and TV personality, will break down easy-to-prep meals perfect for casual summer nights at the cottage.

5. Let your little ones run wild in our campsite! Pull up a chair by the campfire, pop into the tent, hop onto the dinghy, and practice putting on your life jackets and snap a photo in the Paddle Canada photo booth. There are also fun arts and crafts activities for all ages. Parents are required to stay with their children in the Family Activity Centre. Need some time to go buy a boat or talk to a builder? The fun folks from Camp Mini-Yo-We are offering two hours of free child-minding for ages 2+ on a first-come, first-served basis. Come and play games, sing songs, and have fun! Please ensure you sign in with the child-minding staff. A family favourite every year, join David Masters and the educators from the Luna Project in the dirt where you can pot a little white pine to take home and plant. Have you planted a tree from our show in the past? Stop by the Family Activity Centre and share your story, or even better, bring a photo of the tree for all to see!
6. Drop by the Town & Country Marine booth and check out our lineup of cottage boats! We’ll be there with 5 boats: a Bayliner 170, and VR5, a Boston whaler 130 super sport, Harris 180 cruiser and 200 cruiser pontoons! If you’re in the market for a new cottage boat, there’s no better time to check them out and talk to our sales team about spring delivery. If not, feel free to check out the boats and take a rest anyways. After all it’s a busy show full of walking and our boats are really, really comfortable.
See you at the show.
